A full placement fee is due before the commencement of employment of an Au Pair and at the point when the arrangement is made, if it is made early. The fee will be according to the scale of charges below. One payment covers the period of stay of the au pair. These fees ONLY apply to the UK.

A special arrangement fee of £145 is available for a stand-alone summer au pair.

·If within two weeks either party does not deem the placement suitable for easily substantiated reasons, the arrangement may be terminated and a replacement found as soon as possible and at least within four weeks. If a suitable ‘replacement’ au pair is offered and refused Christian Au Pairs is under no obligation to refund charges or be obliged to replace an au pair.

· Any refund is subject to a handling and arrangement fee of £65.

· If after two weeks the arrangement is terminated, Christian Au Pairs will offer a voucher for a free replacement up to two years. If a refund is granted any arrangements between Christian Au Pairs and the family cease to exist and the family will be obliged to re-register for a future au pair. After four weeks no refund of charges will be given. However it is still possible to hold the money in credit towards a future replacement. As a matter of principle we always try to make sure that nobody loses out and we would endeavour to make your situation a priority in finding a replacement au pair.

· If your needs are very specific and cannot be met by the au pairs that are offered Christian Au pairs is under no obligation to fulfil your requests and is able to terminate any arrangements previously made without obligation to any party There is no obligation on our part to refund any money that has been paid.

· Rebates do not apply to placements of 1-3 months.

· In the event of cancellation by the client after the au pair bought their ticket a 50% refund will be made.

· Should the au pair stay longer than the agreed time the family will be invoiced accordingly up to 18 months.

· All of the above assume invoices are paid on time. Following a refund, a re-registration would be necessary.

Christian Au Pairs can accept no liability of any kind for any loss or damage to property, or for any loss including, without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, loss of profits, or for any injury to persons arising directly or indirectly from an act or omission of any applicant introduced by us, even if such an act or omission is negligent.

  • We aim to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR.

    1. When you apply on our website your personal information comes directly to our office. This includes: address and means of contact.
    2. We ask for specifics in preference of an au pair which might include gender, nationality, age and driver and other related matters.
    3. We collect information about your church background and preferences and racial origins.
    4. We collect data from third parties, namely your referee, which is usually forwarded to us by yourself.
    5. All data is held on our office computers and online in a cloud format.
    6. Any data we hold is purely to improve the quality of our matching service.
    7. Your profile will be removed from our computers and deleted after two years of your au pair being placed, and earlier if you request by email.
    8. Your profile is usually only ever shown to prospective au pairs who you have chosen.
    9. Your data is never shown to anyone else other than the small office team.
    10. Our data protection officer is Mark Jeffery whose role is to ensure your data is not misused.
    11. At any time you may obtain a copy of the data we hold on you and similarly ask for removal.
    12. We will write to you infrequently when your au pair is with you to inform you of any matters relating to the au pair that might be of interest for you to know. This might include Training Day information.
